Ahvenlampi lean-to

The Ahvenlampi Lean-to is around 35 km north-west of Rovaniemi, on the north side of the Sonka village. The log-built lean-to is by a pond on a hillside, featuring a campfire site with firewood provided under the shelters at both ends of the lean-to. An outhouse is nearby. The old-growth forest conservation area Kuusikkoselkä – Paljukkalaki is 3 km from the lean-to.

Käytiin 29.9.2018. Ei ollut kyseisestä laavusta jäljellä kuin nuotiopaikka. Liekö purettu vai poltettu.

Olisiko tämä kommentti ollut kuitenkin tarkoitettu läheiselle Särkilammen laavulle. Särkilammella ei näkynyt kuin nuotiopaikka, Ahvenlammelle laavu näytti olevan ainakin moottorikelkkauralta katsoen.

Käytiin perheen kanssa 22.8.2021 Ahvenlammen laavulla. Se oli hyvässä kunnossa, siisti ja polttopuuta oli paljon. Yritimme seurata täällä annettua ajo-ohjetta, mutta emme ole varmoja onko reittikuvaus ja pituuden oikein. Oli hankala ymmärtää. No, löysimme kuitenkin omaa reittiämme. Ajoimme Nuorajärventietä, ohitimme ajaessamme paikan, missä ennen on ollut Särkilammen laavu ja joka on siis palanut. Siitä oli täällä aiemmin kommentti. Jatkoimme autolla Särkilammen ohi Keski-Peurajärven kaakkoisrantaan. Sieltä löytyi Tölhän laavu, mikä oli sekin aika mukavan oloinen tulistelupaikka. Tölhän laavulta kävelimme noin kilometrin verran helppokulkuista moottorikelkkareittiä ahvenlammen laavulle. Kartasta katsoen näyttäisi siltä, että Ahvenlammen laavulle kannattaisi ajaa siten, että Pellontieltä käännytään Mäntyjärventietä, josta sitten n 5km jälkeen oikealle. Kartan mukaan tämä tie veisi aivan laavun viereen. Kannattaa ensin tutkia karttaa ja reittiä.

Mäntyjärventieltä ei pääse autolla Ahvenlammen laavulle. Kyseinen tie on Peurajärventie ja siinä on lukollinen puomi heti tien alussa.
